Year in Review

December 28, 2013

While trying to think how I was going to start this ‘year in review’ post I kept trying to convince myself that this year was the best year of my life, but it wasn’t. 2013 was a year that wasn’t outstanding at all, it was just another year filled of ups and downs.
At the beginning of the year I lost someone who was one of the most important figures in my life. My grandma passed away and it was such a shock to occur so unexpectedly I guess it never really sunk in.
I met plenty of new people this year but managed to lose some close friends along the way and I’m not trying to have regrets about that because obviously those friendships just weren’t meant to be. This year I have learnt what types of people I want surrounded by in my life. I know who I get along well with and that’s all that matters. I can’t always rely on others, I need to do things for myself.  This year I managed to meet my now boyfriend and that has defiantly been one of the best things to happen to me.
Although I have become close with a lot of people I feel as though I have never been so alone. I have drifted dramatically from my parents and I hope to resolve that matter in the New Year. Spending a lot of time alone has made me feel at ease with myself. I have learnt who I am and know what I want to be. I crave so much attention and affection and I now know I can’t believe every promise I’m told. I feel as though I have grown up a whole lot this year but I still have so much more growing up to do. I am no longer shielded from the real world or protected from certain issues. I have lost my innocence but it has helped me to develop as a person and I have now become passionate in so many new things. I have become so much more determined with athletics again and I have learnt I need to finely balance all of my commitments. I feel balance is the key to my life.

Beside minor hiccups it has been a good year and I have so many goals for 2014. I hope you all have a great new year. xxx

Here's what I've been up to towards the end of the year:

I absolutely love going to Starbucks around Christmas time!

Holiday breakfast

Jungle themed work Christmas party!!!

New Acquisitions Vol.III @ Fort Delta

Polaroids from a pool party with my best friends.

Christmas Eve with Aaron

Gifts Aaron bought me!

Some other Christmas gifts + what I bought on Boxing Day!! I also got a Canon EOS 700D so hopefully the photos on here will no longer be shocking i-Phone quality!
